About Laurence Coste
Laurence Coste is a London-based jewellery brand founded by Parisian-born designer Laurence Coste in 2006. Every piece is handmade in our Chelsea atelier using semi-precious stones that Laurence selects for their colour, texture, and character.
She takes her inspiration from the colourful harmonies and textural depth that surround us in nature, especially the sea and marine life. Her aesthetic is bold and daring: unique statement jewellery designed for the modern woman of the twenty-first century who wants pieces that enhance her individuality rather than blend in.
Alongside the main collection, Laurence also creates bespoke costume jewellery for clients who want something entirely their own. The collection is available across our three London boutiques in Chelsea, Knightsbridge, and Mayfair, and online.

Combined with our lifetime care and repair service, this approach extends the life of every piece we make.
Craftsmanship and Materials
Handmade in London
Every Laurence Coste piece is made by hand in our Chelsea atelier. Our team of artisans assembles, sets, and finishes each piece individually, which means there are subtle variations that make your jewellery genuinely one of a kind. The process is deliberate and unhurried: we select each stone for its colour and character, then build the piece around it.
We also offer a bespoke jewellery service for clients who want something entirely their own. You can work with our team to choose stones, shapes, and settings that complement your features, colouring, and personal style. Bespoke commissions are handled on an individual basis through a personal consultation.
Our Materials
We work exclusively with semi-precious stones, including agate, turquoise, lapis lazuli, mother of pearl, and freshwater pearls. Every stone is ethically sourced from sustainable suppliers around the world.
All of our pieces are made on a non-allergenic sterling silver base, with gold plating for our gold-toned collection. Sterling silver is durable, lightweight, and comfortable against the skin, which means you can wear our pieces all day without irritation. We never use nickel or other common allergens.
We also offer clip-on earrings across many of our designs, so you can enjoy bold statement earrings regardless of piercing preference.
Lifetime Care
Jewellery should last. That is why every Laurence Coste piece comes with a 6-month warranty and access to our lifetime care service. We will restore, re-gild, or restring your jewellery at any point, even years after purchase. If a piece needs attention, bring it to any of our London boutiques or contact us to arrange a repair.

More About Laurence
Laurence grew up in Paris, where she started making jewellery for friends to wear to parties as a teenager. That early instinct for colour and bold design stayed with her when she moved to London in the mid-1980s and went on to study History of Art at Christie's. The course deepened her appreciation for form, composition, and the emotional weight that beautiful objects carry.
In 2006, she opened her first boutique on Walton Street in Chelsea. The concept was simple: colourful, original, handmade jewellery that lets the wearer feel like themselves, only a bit more so. The boutique quickly became a destination for women who wanted something distinctive, and the pieces earned a reputation for being conversation starters.
Marine life, coral formations, and the shifting colours of water inform the textures, shapes, and palettes that run through every collection. Her earrings, necklaces, and bracelets are designed to enhance your individuality and add character to any outfit, so you can build a personal style that feels authentic rather than prescribed.
